Thanks to that, Goygol has been a source of inspiration for Azerbaijani artists, musicians and writers for centuries – including the legendary Nizami Ganjavi, who resided in nearby Ganja in the 12th century.

In addition to admiring Lake Goygol, visitors to the Goygol National Park can explore a number of ecotourism trails leading to local beauty spots.

Glass bottles of various shapes and sizes, along with colorful stones imported from Sochi. A staggering 48,000 bottles were used in its creation. The house holds a poignant purpose—it is a tribute to Ibrahim Jafarov’s brother, who went missing during World War II. The entire structure stands as a testament to love, memory, and creativity.

On the front porch, the construction year of the house is inscribed. Beneath the roof’s overhang, a large portrait of the missing brother, Yusif Jafarov, is drawn. The walls of the house are adorned with notes related to the 1980s Olympic Games held in the USSR, as well as the name and portrait of the owner.
